Embark Behavioral Health, a leader in youth and young adult mental health care, is reaffirming its mission to provide comprehensive, high-quality care with a newly expanded leadership team and an evolving array of services. Under the guidance of Scott Filion, CEO, and Dr. Sharnell Myles, Psy.D., Chief Clinical Officer, Embark is furthering its commitment to healing and supporting the next generation by integrating mental health care with a holistic approach.
“At Embark, we’ve always believed in providing the highest quality mental health care rooted in clinical expertise and safe, compassionate support,” said Filion. “This evolution is about strengthening our foundation and healing the whole person, ensuring that every young person and family we serve receives the personalized care they need.”
With an expanded clinical leadership team, the company is enhancing its ability to provide specialized care that addresses a variety of complex mental health issues. Dr. Myles, a respected expert in the field, is leading the charge to deepen the organization’s impact and extend its reach, particularly in offering integrated care that combines medical and mental health services.
Dr. Myles shared, “We are reaffirming our dedication to the healing of clients and families at the heart of our mission. With this leadership team at the helm, we are deepening our commitment to healing through evidence-based treatments, ensuring our care is both accessible and impactful for families and clients with varied life experiences.”
Expansion of Services
As part of this new phase, Embark will expand its suite of services to better address the diverse needs of its clients. The organization will continue offering Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Virtual IOP, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), residential treatment, and specialized mental health treatment programs. New services being added include:
Integrative Mental Health Care: A holistic approach blending medical and mental health services to cater to individuals with complex conditions such as chronic illnesses, mobility challenges, and co-occurring disorders.
Enhanced Specialty Treatment: Expanding services for individuals with complex diagnoses, including schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, substance use disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Embark will also introduce a Jumpstart program aimed at supporting children ages 8-12, closing a critical gap in early intervention for young clients.
Athlete-Specific Mental Health Support: Specialized programming targeting trauma, anxiety, and performance-related mental health challenges faced by athletes, an underserved yet critical area of mental health care.
Technology and Mental Health Innovations: The incorporation of innovative tools like virtual reality, biofeedback, and AI to enhance treatment while addressing the mental health impacts of technology and social media.
Continuing to Lead in Mental Health Innovation
Known for its innovative approach to mental health care, Embark Behavioral Health has long relied on real-time data and evidence-supported practices to personalize its treatment plans. The expansion into integrated health is a natural progression for the organization, ensuring it stays at the forefront of youth and young adult mental health care by continually adapting to meet the evolving needs of its clients.
“With this strategic expansion, we remain focused on providing the highest level of care,” Filion said. “Our growth is being guided by thoughtful, sustainable strategies to meet the demands of the families we serve, ensuring that we continue to be a trusted partner in the journey toward better mental health.”
