Milton Public Library (MPL) will be hosting a Mental Health Awareness Fair on Saturday, November 23, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at its Main Branch (1010 Main St.). The event, organized in partnership with Just Be You and Unsinkable, aims to provide local residents, especially youth aged 16 to 26, with a comprehensive overview of the mental health resources and services available in their community.
Event Highlights
The fair is specifically tailored to help young people take an active role in their mental well-being. Visitors will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from various local organizations, explore available mental health services, and gain valuable information about the resources at their disposal. Additionally, the event will feature a variety of fun activities, including games, food, and a chance to meet and engage with mental health advocates.
Open to All
While the fair is primarily targeted at youth between the ages of 16 and 26, all Milton residents interested in learning more about mental health resources and services are encouraged to attend. This event offers a unique opportunity for community members to better understand mental health and the ways they can seek help or offer support to others.
A Focus on Mental Health Awareness
This initiative is part of the library’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness, with an emphasis on the importance of supporting young people’s mental well-being. The event is designed to foster a supportive environment where attendees can learn, interact, and take steps towards maintaining good mental health.
Milton Public Library invites everyone to participate and join in this community effort to raise awareness about mental health and make resources more accessible.
