College Place Public Schools (CPPS) has been awarded a $270,000 grant spread over three years to support its newly launched “Wellness Without Limits” program, aimed at enhancing in-school mental health services for students. The funding, provided by the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health’s 2025-2027 Behavioral Health Community Grant, will help expand onsite behavioral health support for CPPS students.
Superintendent Jim Fry emphasized the program’s alignment with CPPS’s mission of fostering a supportive educational environment. “This grant helps us go above and beyond to support the wellness of our students,” he stated. “At CPPS, we are committed to fostering environments where every student can grow and succeed—both academically and emotionally. The CP Way is about ensuring that each student feels connected, supported, and empowered, and this program brings those values into action.”
The Wellness Without Limits initiative will provide students with in-school access to licensed behavioral health professionals, addressing a critical need for accessible mental health support. The Walla Walla County Department of Community Health’s grant represents a broader effort to strengthen behavioral health resources across diverse communities within the county. This funding ensures that CPPS can integrate mental health support directly into students’ daily environments, helping to create a foundation for emotional well-being and academic success.
