Seneca County Mental Health, in collaboration with the Seneca County Health Department and United Way of Seneca County, has introduced CredibleMind, a new online platform designed to enhance access to mental health resources for residents. This confidential platform, available 24/7, offers more than 10,000 science-backed tools and resources to support mental well-being, along with services from local agencies operating in the county.
Empowering Residents with Mental Health Resources
Margaret Morse, Seneca County’s Director of Community Services, emphasized the platform’s importance, noting, “Our community’s mental wellness is a priority, and with the launch of the CredibleMind platform, we’re providing free tools and resources to empower our residents.” The platform aims to foster early intervention and prevention across more than 100 mental health topics, helping individuals access vital resources before more intensive interventions are necessary.
Key Features of CredibleMind
Founded in 2018, CredibleMind focuses on early support for mental health conditions, providing self-care resources that do not require medical intervention. The platform offers users a three-minute, confidential mental health check-in assessment, giving quick insights into their mental and emotional well-being, particularly in areas like flourishing, anxiety, and depression. Residents who take the assessment by October 30th can enter a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.
Enhancing Public Health with Mental Health Support
Scott King, Public Health Director of Seneca County, highlighted the platform’s role in streamlining access to local services. “The ability to provide our residents with 24/7 access to mental health and general well-being resources is a huge asset to our county,” said King. The platform integrates the many service agencies in Seneca County, offering residents a centralized location to discover resources tailored to their needs.
Deryk Van Brunt, CEO of CredibleMind, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting, “We are thrilled to partner with Seneca County and provide on-demand, reliable self-care and mental health resources to help its community members improve their overall well-being and flourish.”
