ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Participants still have the opportunity to register for the upcoming NAMI Walk scheduled for Saturday, aimed at generating funds for advocacy, education, and support for individuals affected by mental illness.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will hold a pop-up walk at Assembly Park, located within the Assembly Atlanta Studios at 2582 Assembly Blvd. The event is set to kick off at 10 a.m.
As stated on their website, NAMI is recognized as “the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.” The organization hopes to raise $340,000 through this walk to further its mission of support and education for those impacted by mental health challenges.
Participants are encouraged to join this meaningful event to promote mental health awareness and contribute to vital resources for the community.
