WASHINGTON, D.C. — Oregon will receive $4 million to enhance behavioral health services across the state, with $600,000 specifically allocated to the Umpqua Community Health Center in Roseburg.
Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley announced the funding on Monday in a joint statement. The financial support will be directed toward mental health and substance abuse programs—two critical issues highlighted by constituents during Wyden’s recent town hall series.
This investment aims to strengthen the community’s resources for addressing mental health challenges and substance use disorders, ensuring that more residents have access to essential services.
