RED BLUFF, Calif. – A new mental health facility is set to open this month in downtown Red Bluff, expanding access to essential services in the area.
The facility, operated by North American Mental Health Services (NAMHS), will offer a comprehensive range of services, including medication management, talk therapy, counseling, and substance abuse programming, known as C.D.I.O.P. Kristen Lembcke, the chief operating officer of NAMHS, highlighted the organization’s commitment to providing support for various mental health needs.
Based in Redding, NAMHS serves over 10,000 individuals monthly and has been providing therapy, psychiatry, counseling, and medication management since 2011. The Red Bluff location will be the organization’s seventh facility and its first primary location in the region.
“This new center is a significant development for our community,” Lembcke said. “We’re thrilled to reintroduce members of our team who have previously served this area in different capacities.”
The facility will be situated in the Riverside Plaza shopping center, strategically located near two bus stops and the Dollar Tree to improve accessibility for underserved communities.
NAMHS will cater to a diverse client base, including Medi-Cal and Medicare recipients, and those with Medi-Medi insurance. The facility is also in the process of accepting private insurance plans.
The Red Bluff office will be staffed by four providers, including a marriage counselor and a behavioral health specialist. Additionally, the clinic will support Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring language barriers do not impede access to care.
“Our goal is to provide an accessible point of care that addresses the specific needs of our community, fostering healing and hope,” Lembcke added.
The facility will begin its soft opening on Monday, September 16, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for October 10. This new location marks the third NAMHS facility north of Woodland, joining existing centers in Redding and Eureka.
