This new facility marks a significant milestone as the first comprehensive mental health centre in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.
The Rafa Mental Health Centre aims to enhance mental health care standards in the region by addressing existing gaps in mental health services. The centre is designed to provide advanced psychological rehabilitation programs for residents of the Eastern Province and neighboring areas, supporting patients in achieving psychological balance and self-reliance. It features a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers who collaborate to deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatments, and holistic care.
The centre offers a wide range of outpatient services, including thorough psychological assessments, personalized psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, and recreation therapy. Inpatient services at Rafa include state-of-the-art psychopharmacology and psychotherapy within a supportive environment. The facility boasts 24 private rooms designed with natural light to create a tranquil and restorative space for recovery.
