The DuPage County Health Department will host its inaugural Mental Health Summit on September 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DuPage County Administrative Building, located at 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
Former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy will deliver the keynote address around noon. The summit will also feature a panel discussion with mental health experts, policymakers, and individuals with personal experiences related to mental health.
The event aims to inform attendees about available mental health and substance use treatment services, foster dialogue on reducing mental health stigma, and facilitate discussions among local leaders and organizations about mental health initiatives and wellness promotion.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Drug Court program, the Mental Illness Court Alternative Program, and other county behavioral health resources. The event will conclude with a Mental Health Expo Fair.
