ABILENE — The community is invited to attend the second annual Pathways to Hope Conference, a free, two-day event focused on addressing mental health challenges in the Big Country. Organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Abilene in collaboration with local partners, the conference aims to educate, advocate, and build sustainable coalitions to support individuals living with mental health conditions.
Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the conference will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grace Fellowship, located at 910 Cypress St. Doors will open at 8 a.m. on both days, allowing attendees to gather before the sessions begin.
The event will feature a series of speeches and workshops, emphasizing the important role that faith and spirituality can play in supporting those dealing with mental health issues. Workshops will cover a variety of topics, including mental health, peer support, therapy and counseling, faith and community, and mental health among youth and young adults.
The Pathways to Hope Conference is designed to foster a collaborative environment where community members can come together to learn, share, and develop strategies for supporting mental health in Abilene.
