As of the end of January, over 1.3 million people in Britain were receiving Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for psychiatric disorders. This includes individuals diagnosed with anxiety, mood disorders, stress reactions, and depressive disorders.
PIP is designed to offer additional financial support to adults with disabilities, long-term illnesses, or both physical and mental health conditions. The benefit is intended for those who need help with daily activities or mobility issues.
Under PIP, eligible claimants may receive up to £737 per month, depending on the severity of their condition and the level of support required.
