The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced on July 24 that it is awarding $45.1 million in grants to support various behavioral health initiatives.
Of this funding, $15.3 million is earmarked specifically for children’s mental health services. This allocation aims to enhance mental health services in schools, provide support for those who have experienced traumatic events, and offer specialized services for children at risk of or suffering from serious mental health conditions.
These grants reflect SAMHSA’s ongoing commitment to improving behavioral health outcomes for both children and adults, ensuring access to vital services and support across the nation.
