Bethlehem is set to welcome a new mental health facility, addressing the increasing demand for mental health services in the region. Ellie Mental Health, located at 2151 Emrick Boulevard, Suite 201, is scheduled to open its doors on August 1, with therapists ready to begin seeing patients.
Jack Rong and his wife, Sonya Shen, are the new franchise owners and are committed to enhancing accessibility to mental health care. They expressed their enthusiasm for the project and their personal dedication to the cause. “Our mission is to make mental health services accessible and comfortable for everyone in our community,” Rong stated. “Starting this clinic is a deeply personal journey for us. As parents, we understand the importance of mental health and are dedicated to offering the best possible care to the Bethlehem community. By opening this clinic, we aim to dismantle the barriers and stigma surrounding mental health.”
The new facility will offer a range of services, including individual and family therapy, couples counseling, and community-based mental health support. Additionally, psychiatric medication management will be available to patients in the near future.
With their backgrounds in business, Rong and Shen plan to build a team of both part-time and full-time clinicians and therapists. They anticipate that the new clinic will create around 20 job opportunities in the community.
Though Rong and Shen are not therapists themselves, their passion for improving mental health services in Bethlehem is evident. Shen expressed her excitement about bringing Ellie Mental Health’s innovative approach to the area. “We are thrilled to introduce Ellie Mental Health to Bethlehem,” Shen said. “Our goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel at ease, and therapists are empowered to deliver the highest quality care.”
Ellie Mental Health is known for its client-centric approach, offering tools to match clients with suitable therapists and creating comfortable office environments designed to feel like a friend’s home. The organization also emphasizes an employment model that values clinician and client well-being, creativity, and culture.
The Bethlehem clinic will be the first of three Ellie Mental Health locations planned for the Lehigh Valley area by Rong and Shen.
