London, UK — ISS has secured a significant new seven-year contract with the North London Mental Health NHS Partnership (NLMHP), valued at approximately £15.5 million per annum. The agreement encompasses a range of services including cleaning, retail and service user catering, and security services.
The NLMHP, established in 2022, is a partnership between Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. This contract, with an option to extend for an additional three years, involves nearly 400 ISS employees delivering services across six main in-patient sites and 60 community sites. It also includes a comprehensive revitalisation programme to ensure a smooth transition to the new partnership model while maintaining high service standards.
ISS has committed £75,000 towards a market-leading mental health training package for employees on this contract. Developed in collaboration with Maudsley Learning and the mental health charity Mind, this training ensures a bespoke approach to service delivery, focusing on the specific needs of service users. The training includes modules on working and wellbeing in mental health and equips non-clinical staff to manage challenging situations in clinical settings.
The partnership between ISS and NLMHP marks a significant step towards enhancing mental health care services across North London. By integrating comprehensive facility services with a strong emphasis on mental health training and social value, the collaboration aims to improve the overall experience for both service users and staff alike.
Donna Brown further emphasized ISS’s commitment to supporting NLMHP’s strategic objectives through a collaborative and transparent approach. This partnership not only underscores ISS’s dedication to delivering high-quality services but also to contributing positively to the communities it serves.
The contract’s implementation began on July 1, 2024, signaling a new era of enhanced mental health care provision in North London under the leadership and collaboration of ISS and NLMHP.
