INVI MindHealth, a leading mental health technology company, has successfully raised $1.5 million in a Series Seed funding round. This investment will drive enhancements in their mobile application, focusing on user experience and integrating expert content on a variety of mental health topics and solutions.
Expanding Support Tools
A portion of the funds will be dedicated to developing “Overwatch,” a comprehensive dashboard tool aimed at empowering team leaders to monitor and support their members’ well-being effectively.
Catering to High-Stress Professionals
INVI MindHealth’s platform specifically targets individuals in high-stress professions, such as first responders and veterans. The company has already established a partnership with a Los Angeles-based Special Tactics Team, including 35 SWAT officers, who use INVI to better understand their mental health, enhance overall well-being, and support each other through the “Overwatch” tool. The platform employs research-based tools and insights to help mitigate the negative impacts of high-stress environments on the nervous system.
Innovative Research in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
In addition to its user-focused app, INVI MindHealth is engaged in pioneering research. In collaboration with a leading university in Texas, the company is conducting a longitudinal observational pilot study to investigate the potential of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for veterans with PTSD. The study will involve 40 participants and utilize a combination of clinical and neurobiological assessments, along with biometric data collected through wearable devices. INVI will specifically track heart rate variability, sleep patterns, and changes in heart rate induced by the psychedelic intervention.
Revolutionizing Mental Healthcare
Founded in 2020, INVI MindHealth aims to revolutionize mental healthcare through predictive analytics that identify potential declines in mental well-being. Their platform combines biometrics, deep learning analytics, artificial intelligence, and human connection to provide comprehensive solutions. One of the app’s notable features is the “swim buddy” system, which fosters accountability and support within teams by allowing users to share their MindScore™ with designated teammates and receive alerts if a buddy becomes unresponsive. Additionally, INVI integrates with popular wearable devices and Apple Health to offer a holistic view of user data.
“INVI MindHealth was started after multiple SEAL Team teammates of mine took their lives,” said Jonathan Wilson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “The Veteran suicide rate was moving in the wrong direction, and the current medical model felt ill-equipped and overwhelmed in addressing this epidemic. Realizing that mental health challenges affect almost everyone, we felt an obligation to take action. This investment will accelerate the development of our innovative mental health platform,” Wilson stated.
