Everyone in the workplace is on the same platform, but over time, some progress quickly, some progress slowly, some work hard, and some dabble extensively, and the final harvest can be imagined. What is needed in the workplace is not people who work hard, but people who can create value. Therefore, people should constantly enrich themselves, let themselves grow rapidly, accumulate small streams to make rivers, and start from small things in advance.
- Read millions of books on how to “promote” your career. But there have been several recent books that I have read with a unique perspective on the field. They are designed to see your profession as a freelancer providing services. Your job is to make sure the service is needed. The rarer and more valuable your service, the more you will earn.
- Watch the news Make watching the news a part of your daily life. Important: You always know what’s going on in the job market, which industries are being reported, and what’s “hot” (and more importantly…what’s not).
- A great way to communicate online is to use LinkedIn to keep in touch with people in the industry and “track” what they’re doing and worrying about. If someone you admire tweets because they’re having trouble, you There is a great opportunity to assist them in solving difficult problems. It’s also a great way to get to know potential bosses/employers.
- Communication at work The person you work with today is a referral for your next job. You don’t have to cheat, just remember that your purpose is to get things done and the whole team is successful. Be friendly. Be part of a team. You can’t do everything by yourself – if your coworkers don’t like your attitude, you have to spend a lot of time doing everything.
- Find a mentor Mentors are essential in your career development. We all think we can do a good job on our own, but that’s just a frivolous delusion of youth. Find experienced people you respect and trust, and learn as much as you can from them. These people could be your boss or a previous boss. You can’t guess who it is.
- Help a colleague identify those who have too much to do or who are visibly frustrated. Then try to help them. Take on some of their work. Delay the deadline a bit. Take them out for a coffee break. Anything is fine. Just let them know that you are willing to lend a helping hand. Help your “connection team” today, and they’ll do everything they can to help you tomorrow.
- “Verify” your salary Your goal is to find out if you are getting what you paid for. Browse the salary comparison site to get your salary range. Be aware that you may find that you have been paid an equal amount (perhaps more!), and you may want to get a higher salary as well.
- Control consumption The best way to improve your economy is to make more money, but you also have to control consumption. It’s not as difficult as you think. Spend less than you earn and get out of debt as quickly as possible.
- Work smarter Before you try to find another job, make sure you do your current job flawlessly. To make life easier for yourself and others, be more efficient, work smarter, and get things done. I know it’s easier said than done, but when you’re interviewing at a new company, you also want concrete examples of how you’ve created value in the past.
- Flexible Most people think their careers are in their control. You choose a field/industry/occupation, and then you are motivated and do your best to go further in your career. But this idea is unrealistic. Something that interests you will lead you into a different field. Things you don’t know will happen, you’ll get fired, you’ll get promotions, you’ll change jobs, embrace these changes, and don’t shut them out because they don’t fit your “five-year plan.” The best thing to do is to be open to everything, because sometimes an unexpected move turns out to be the best move.
- Sit down Communication is crucial, especially with the person you are reporting to. Whether you get along well with your boss (in an ideal world you at least respect and trust him/her), you need to understand what your boss expects of you and how you can exceed it. Don’t know how to perfectly complete the task your boss has given you? Just ask, and execute it.
- If you’re the boss I’m not saying you put your feet on your desk and start calling people around you. What I really mean is taking the time to imagine yourself in the boss’s shoes. Think about the things she does every day, the subordinates she manages, the bosses she has to deal with. All of this is well thought out. Sometimes a little empathy can make you understand a lot.
- Help your boss We’re all busy, but spend a week keeping tabs on your boss. I mean, really pay attention. What’s bothering him? What’s keeping him up late? What’s he worried about? Take some time now and try to make life easier for your boss.
