A new mental health center for children, along with a day clinic for eating disorders, will be established in Kiryat Ata this May. This innovative facility aims to provide a professional and comprehensive response to the mental health needs of residents, with a particular focus on the city itself.
The announcement follows a meeting earlier this week between Kiryat Ata Mayor Yaakov Peretz and the Northern Management of Maccabi Healthcare Services. During the discussion, several strategies were explored to strengthen cooperation and enhance medical services in the city.
Mayor Peretz highlighted the city’s rapid development, which includes new infrastructure projects and advanced educational initiatives. He also reiterated the municipality’s dedication to improving the healthcare sector in Kiryat Ata, emphasizing the importance of building strong partnerships with medical organizations to ensure accessible, high-quality care for all residents.
City Council Member Rabbi Shalom Mamalia, who also serves as Maccabi’s community representative, attended the meeting and underscored both the municipality’s and the mayor’s commitment to providing top-tier medical services to the city’s residents.
Over the past year, Kiryat Ata Municipality and Maccabi Healthcare Services have collaborated on several initiatives, including health awareness days, health-related enrichment evenings, an appreciation day for the wives of reservists, and nutrition workshops, further solidifying their ongoing partnership.
