HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Hanover County will host a special discussion on men’s mental health in late April, aimed at providing a supportive environment for men to talk about mental health issues.
The event, titled “Safe Space: MENtal Health Discussion”, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church, located at 8209 Shady Grove Road.
Organized by the Hanover County Department of Social Services, the discussion will focus on the unique mental health challenges faced by men. The event is part of a broader initiative to provide a safe and open space for men to explore mental health topics and address any stigmas associated with seeking help.
The discussion will offer an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences, learn about mental health resources, and hear from mental health professionals about strategies for improving well-being.
