YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Generations Behavioral Health (GBH), a leading provider of mental health services in the Cuyahoga, Mahoning, and Trumbull County regions, is expanding its outpatient services to better serve the growing need for mental health care in the community. This expansion will include the addition of psychiatric services for children and adolescents, as well as counseling services for both children and adults at its Youngstown Clinic.
The move is part of GBH’s ongoing commitment to improving access to quality mental health services for individuals and families in the area. To help meet this growing demand, GBH is proud to welcome Dr. Raquel Diaz Guerrero, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry, and Landon Finley, a licensed social worker, to its team.
Introducing Dr. Raquel Diaz Guerrero
Dr. Raquel Diaz Guerrero brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Generations Behavioral Health, particularly in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Diaz earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Following this, she completed her residency in general psychiatry at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York before pursuing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
Dr. Diaz is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Her practice is centered on providing comprehensive, empathetic care to youth, addressing the unique mental health challenges that children and adolescents face. Her approach ensures that families receive the best possible care, with a focus on holistic treatment and long-term well-being.
Introducing Landon Finley
Landon Finley is a highly skilled mental health professional with extensive experience in social work and counseling. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst University and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Youngstown State University. Landon is a licensed social worker in Ohio and has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic technique that is effective in treating trauma and PTSD.
Landon’s background includes providing individualized therapy, trauma-focused counseling, and case management for a diverse range of populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. He has worked extensively with marginalized communities and is committed to delivering compassionate care that meets the unique needs of each individual. Landon is also a facilitator of Safe Zone LGBTQ+ training and has experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans for his clients.

With these new additions to its clinical team, GBH will be able to offer a broader range of services to both children and adults in the Youngstown area. The clinic will now provide:
Psychiatric Services for Children and Adolescents: Dr. Diaz will focus on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions affecting children and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders.
Counseling Services for Children, Teens, and Adults: Landon Finley will offer individual therapy, trauma-focused counseling, and case management, helping clients work through personal challenges, trauma, and emotional difficulties.
